DESCRIPTION
The central theme of Greek Mythology is the fight between heroic and tetramorphic characters. A 32-mm coin presents Cerberus, a creature of pure chaos, the guardian of the Underworld. It prevents the dead from leaving and the living from entering alive. High relief coin transfers his serpentine nature, the barbed tail, selective gilding of the spiked collar, and snakes instead of fur, which made the three-headed dog's passing impossible. Only Hercules managed to catch and bring the guard dog to King Eurystheus to complete the journey to the afterlife.
